About
Better Hosting. Smarter Prices.
HostPrices exists because hosting is sold on an intro price that quietly triples at renewal. We show what a plan really costs over three years, so you can compare on the number that matters.
Our mission
Hosting pricing is deliberately confusing: a headline rate for the first term, a much higher rate afterwards, and add-ons that appear at checkout. HostPrices records all of it and presents three numbers for every plan, side by side: the intro price, the renewal price and the 3-year true cost.
How the site works
Prices are recorded from each provider’s public pricing page with the source and date, appended to a price history, and recalculated into a 3-year cost with one published formula. Coupons are listed with their terms and expiry dates as published. Tools such as the cost calculator, the price tracker and the hosting finder all draw on the same records.
No hidden renewals
The renewal rate and its increase sit beside every intro price.
One formula
The 3-year true cost is calculated the same way for every plan.
Sourced, dated data
Each price carries the page it came from and the date it was checked.
Independent
Commissions never change prices, scores or order.
Who runs HostPrices
HostPrices is run by a small editorial team. Articles carry the name of the person who wrote them; we do not publish under invented bylines, and we do not publish user reviews or testimonials. Team profiles will be added here as the site grows.
How we make money
Some links are affiliate links and may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. They are marked, and they never influence what we show or in what order. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
